The Apartment

The Saltings is a newly refurbished, luxury penthouse apartment beautifully positioned right on the West Quay encapsulating views of the inner and outer harbours of picturesque Mevagissey. From the front of the apartment (including the lounge/dining room and kitchen), the views are exceptional - whether it be watching the local fishermen unloading the day's catch or one of the regular yachts sailing by on the horizon, there is always something happening!

Whilst the accommodation is self-catering, Mevagissey is lucky enough to have a wide range of restaurants, all of which are within a short walk, and therefore you have the option to choose where you eat each evening, depending on how you feel. Equally, if you fancy cooking something special up for yourself, you could just walk the 30 yards or so to the local fishmongers which is Quay side and directly opposite the apartment!

With the help of an award winning interior designer, the beautifully furnished and fully equipped apartment comprises a light and airy entrance hall, a living/dining room, a newly fitted modern kitchen, a master bedroom with standard sized double bed, a second bedroom with comfortable bunk beds and a luxury shower room with power shower, sink and toilet. Bathroom towels, kitchen tea towels and full bed linen is provided.

Outside there is a communal patio/garden area, ideal for enjoying the sun and outside dining – although the nearest sandy beach and rock pools are only 25 yards away (where the kids can go crabbing and netting for a variety of sea creatures)!

Please note
Changeover day is Saturday (arrival strictly after 2pm and departure strictly before 10am). All electricity and heating is included. Access is on the 2nd floor via an internal stairway. Children of all ages are most welcome (for younger ones, a travel cot and high chair are provided if required). The apartment and communal areas of the building are strictly non-smoking at all times. The car parking space has a restricted height of just over 6ft (although alternative parking is available at the local public car parks - the nearest being just 100m away - and we will refund the cost which is £5 per day or £30 for a week).

If like us, you can’t stand to be parted from your faithful friend for even a short period of time, why not bring your dog along so they can enjoy the holiday too!

There is a set fee of £75.00 for which we will supply your canine companion with a comfortable dog bed to keep them warm and happy for the duration of their stay (Please note, this additional fee also covers any extra cleaning required).

However, there are a few brief house rules for them:

  • I am a small, single well trained dog.
  • I will respect the other apartment owners, I will not be left alone, bark or howl at any time. Neither will I foul the room, chew the furnishings or get up on the sofas, beds or furniture.
  • My owner has agreed to settle the costs for any damages etc caused by me.
  • If I am coming on holiday my owner will confirm my breed etc and that I am the only dog coming, when booking.
